Day 2

The highlights of this tour begins with a a visit to the magnificent Byzantine church of Hagia Sophia. The Byzantine architecture of this church ha served as an inspiration for many other Ottoman mosques.It is now a museum and a component of UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to the Blue Mosque one of the largest mosques in Istanbul, is also famous for its blue tiles and 6 minarets.Proceed to the Hippodrome the former centre of sporting and political activities in Constantinople.It is one of the most popular place and promenades. It is decorated with monuments brought in from the world such as the Obelisk from Egypt, the Serpentine Column from Delphi and the fountain of Willhelm II.Later, end the tour with a visit to the Grand Bazaar,where you can shop for carpets, jewellery, leatherand souvenirs.

Day 3

On arrival in Kayseri, you will be met and transferred to Cappadocia, en route visit Red Valley which is one of the most beautiful trekking valleys. Explore famous rock cut churches and go hiking through the valley. Proceed to rest at the Old Cavusin Village which is known with its houses and churches of the Christian clergymen. After lunch, visit the Kaymakli Underground City, the place early Christians hid from persecutors. Continue to the the Pigeon Valley which is the path through the valley and offers spectacular view of the natural cliffs, caves and passes through a few tunnels carved into the rocks. On arrival in Cappadocia, proceed and check in to the hotel.

Day 4&5

Admire the lunar-like geological rock formations, volcanic pinnacles, bizarre shaped boulders, and fairy chimneys. Learn in detail as to how the natural forces eroded these formations over millennia. Continue to Pasabag, known as Monks Valley and get to know about the monks and hermits that once found solitude within these lonely cone shelters. Thereafter, enjoy a pottery workshop in Avanos and relish local lunch. Later, visit the Gerome Open Air Museum, recognised for medieval monastic complex of painted cave churches and dwellings, carved out of the tufa rock by the Christian monks. Day 6

Enjoy a full day excursion to Ephesus (Seat in coach). Visit the Basilica of St. John which was built in the 6th century. Feel the mystical atmosphere of the city and stadium where chariot and horse races were once held. You will also have a chance to see some Turkish handicrafts and visit the pilgrimage point claimed to be the last home of the Virgin Mary. Lastly, make way to Sirince Village which is located on the top of a mountain and well-known for wines Ephesus was an ancient Greek city near Kusadasi, in Turkey. It was built on the site of a previous Arzawan capital in the 10th century BC. The city prospered under the rule of Roman Republic in 129 BC but underwent damage when it was destroyed by the Goths in a raid. The Emperor Constantine the Great restored most of the city and built new public baths. However, the city was again destroyed by a Roman Orthodox Catholic mob in 401 AD. It went through further deterioration due to a severe earthquake in 614 AD. Also, its land got gradually silted by the Kucukmenderes River and as a result Ephesus lost its importance as a commercial centre. Its major attraction is the famous Temple of Artemis which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Day 7&8

Embark on a full day excursion to Pamukkale (Seat in coach). The highlights of this tour begins with a visit to Hierapolis. The great Necropolis is the graveyard where sick people came in search of cure but died. Continue to the white calcium ponds which are filled with heavily mineralized therapeutic warm water flowing from the hot springs around. The hot springs are used as a spa since centuries. Take a walk in these pools and feel rejuvenated. After a delicious lunch, proceed to the Cleopatra Antique Pool, where you can sit in the shallow waters and rest against the ornate columns, pose for a photo while balancing on one of the other submerged carved stones from the temple. This morning, post breakfast, transfer from hotel in Cappadocia to hotel in Pamukkale, enroute enjoy a visit to the 13th century Sultanhani Caravanserai built on the famous silk route. Famous for being one of the largest caravanserais in the worldwide, Sultan Hani Caravanserai was made in Seljuk Time in order to be used as an accommodation for the people, especially merchants and as a defence for trade ways which was the first insurance system those times. Later, visit the famous mystical Mausoleum of Mevlana, before proceeding to check- in at the hotel in Pamukkale.

Day 6

Post breakfast, transfer from hotel in Pamukkale to hotel in Kusadasi, enroute explore the ancient city of Hierapolis. Next, visit to DEVRENT VALLEY has various types of fairy chimneys. Among these are those with caps, cones, mushroom like forms pillar and pointed rocks.We will take a walk through this amazing valley.Then,you will visit PASABAGLARI (MONK'S VALLEY) where you will see many fairy chimneys with multiple stems and caps can be found here, this style being unique to this area. A chapel dedicated to St. Simeon and a hermit's shelter is built into one such fairy chimney with three heads. After visiting Pasabag, we will drive to AVANOS which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. Travel part of the Silk Road, visiting where caravans stopped for rest at the caravanserai along the way. Later proceed to Konya where you will visit the Melvana Museum and his mausoleum. It is one of the biggest pilgrimage centres in Turkey, and the building's fluted dome of turquoise tiles is one of Turkey's most distinctive sights. The mausoleum room is highly ornamented with Islamic script and enameled reliefs, and contains the tombs of several of the more important figures of the dervish order. The main tomb enclosed behind a silver gate crafted in 1597 is that of Mevlana. The large complex also houses a huge collection of artifacts belonging to the Mevlana Order: valuable carpets; metal and wooden objects; and books, including a display of priceless Qur'ans.

It was built on the site of a previous Arzawan capital in the 10th century BC. The city prospered under the rule of Roman Republic in 129 BC but underwent damage when it was destroyed by the Goths in a raid. The Emperor Constantine the Great restored most of the city and built new public baths. However, the city was again destroyed by a Roman Orthodox Catholic mob in 401 AD. It went through further deterioration due to a severe earthquake in 614 AD. Also, its land got gradually silted by the Kucukmenderes River and as a result Ephesus lost its importance as a commercial centre. Its major attraction is the famous Temple of Artemis which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Next day, there is departure transfer from hotel in Kusadasi to airport in Izmir and board the flight for Istanbul (Seat in coach). Fly back home with sweet Turkish memories.

Day 1

On arrival in Istanbul you will be transferred to the hotel for check in. Later in the afternoon proceed for a half-day tour to visit City Walls, Golden Horn and cable car to Pierre Loti Hill. Later, enjoy a cruise along the Bosphorus Strait, that links Europe and Asia. Savour the beautyof the ancient wooden mansions, marble palaces and small fishing villages, as well as the massive Rumeli Fortress and the Byzantine Leander’s Tower as you sail past them. (No interior visits).

Day 2

Today after breakfast proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of the Sultanahmet district in the heart of old Istanbul. Visit St. Sophia church which is one of the marvels of world architecture. (On Mondays replaced by the Chora Church Museum).Later visit the Blue Mosque (will be visited from outside if the tour is taken on Friday), and walk through the Hippodrome, - the centre of Constantinople, capital of the ancient Byzantine Empire. Finish at the Grand Bazaar where you can shop for carpets and kilms, silks, jewellery, ceramics, icons and leather goods and more. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)

Day 3

Today board flight to Kayseri, (your flight has to be scheduled to depart at around 07:00 am in the morning). On arrival proceed to Cappadocia a city known for underground warren of corridors, chapels, warehouses and living spaces that comprise the underground cave cities of Cappadocia. On arrival proceed for Full Day Goreme City Tour. Visit Devrent Valley to see various types of fairy chimneys. Among these are those with caps, cones, mushroom like forms pillar and pointed rocks.We will take a walk through this amazing valley.Then,you will visit PASABAGLARI (MONK'S VALLEY) where you will see many fairy chimneys with multiple stems and caps can be found here, this style being unique to this area. A chapel dedicated to St. Simeon and a hermit's shelter is built into one such fairy chimney with three heads. After visiting Pasabag, we will drive to AVANOS which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. The red clay which is worked by local craftsmen comes from the residue in the Kizilirmak river.And we will have a rest to have lunch in a local restaurant. After having lunch, we will proceed to GOREME OPEN AIR MUSEUM where this religious education was started. You will visit the churhces, chapels and monasteries carved into the fairy chimmeys from the 10th to the 13th centuries with frescos painted on the walls. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, L, D)

Day 4&5

Today after breakfast proceed to full day Kaymakli Underground City Tour. Visit RED VALLEY which is one of the most beautiful trekking valley in Cappadocia and explore the famous rock- cut churches and hike 5 km through in this valley. Later rest in CAVUSIN village – famous for the houses and churches of the christian clegymen. Visit Ortahisar Castle which resembles Uchisar Castle in style. In the afternoon visit KAYMAKLI underground city where early christians lived in fear and faith. On the way back visit Pigeon valley, later taste some Cappadocia wines in a local wine factory. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B &L) Next day, proceed to Kayseri airport for your flight to Izmir. On arrival at Izmir travel to Kusadasi by road. Rest of the day is at leisure.
