Day 2

After breakfast visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue) a place for refreshing with a huge statue of Buddha on the top of the Kuensel Phodrang, National Memorial Chorten (Monument) & Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon visit Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, Taking Preserve Centre, The talking national animal of Bhutan can be seen here Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). Day 3

Distance 77 kms. Driving Time 3 hrs. Altitude of Punakha 1310 mts After breakfast drive to Punakha Wangdue, On the way Stop at DochuLaPass 3150 mts to view the higher Himalayas. Arrival at Punakha check in at hotel. After noon visit Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. For many years until the time of the second king, it served as the seat of the Government. The Dzong was named Druk Pungthang Dechen Phodrang Palace of Great Happiness. Punakha is still the winter residence of JeKhenpo and King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck convened the first National Assembly here in 1952. After that take a short excursion trip to visit the Chhimi Lhakhang The Temple, also known as The Temple of Fertility was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, The Devine Mad Man. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay will be at Punakha Wangdue.

Day 4

Distance: 140 kms Driving Time 5 hrs. Altitude of Paro 2280 mts After breakfast drive to Paro 7,483 ft. On the way stop at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Park - The park contains a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna and features a huge species of plants and animals including endangered species. On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Ta Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc. Rinpung Dzong - Meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels". The dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 5

After breakfast visit Drukgyel Dzong. Also visit famous Taktsang Monastery called Tiger's Nest (2hrs hike from the base camp) & Kitchu Monastery. Overnight stay will be at Paro

Day 3

Today’s drive passes through Dochula pass at 3150 making the most beautiful pass in Bhutan. 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens built over the pass by queen mother in 2003 marks the pass more important than another passes. When the weather permits one can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a sight that stretches almost 180 degrees. After a photo break, we will continue our drive to warm valley of Punakha. On arrival, check into the hotel. Afternoon, we will visit the most beautiful Punakha Dzong, which houses the most elaborated temple in the country. The Dzong, showcase the finest example of the arts and crafts of Bhutan. Day 4

Check out of the hotel and visit Chimi Lhakhang on foot, the temple of fertility associated with religious art of phallus. En route visit Wangdi ruin Dzong and continue to Phobjikha over the pass at 3140m.Visit Gangtey Gompa, the largest and the only monastery of the Nyingmapa sect in western Bhutan. Day 5

After early breakfast drive to Paro. Afternoon we will visit National Museum, the first of its kind which has a collection from natural history to religious paintings. Visit 17 century Paro Dzong (Fortress) on foot and continue walking through the oldest wooden bridge still in use. Visit Kichu Lhakhang, one from the two oldest temples built in 7th century. Day 6

After breakfast proceed for a day excursion to Haa valley. Drive through Chelela Pass, your highest point of the trip at 3988m from where we can view spectacular views of both Haa valley and Paro valley. If the weather permits one can view the most scared mountain in the country Mt. Jomolhari (7314m). Lunch in the town after returning back from Chelela Pass then relax in the hotel. Overnight in Paro

Day 7 & 8

After breakfast In the morning, we will hike to Tiger’s Nest Temple, the most revered temple in the country that literally hangs on a granite cliff overlooking the Paro valley at 900m above the valley floor. The temple is associated with Guru Rimpoche who visited in 8th century and believed to have meditated three months in this cave and converted entire valley into Buddhism. It is 2 hours walk up hill for an average hiker, however it can take our almost entire day too. Evening back to the hotel and relax. Overnight in Paro . Day 1

Arrive Paro – Thimphu (2Nights) (Approx 65kms, 2 hrs drive) The most spectacular mountain flights you will ever experience in a life time. Flying in from the heat of the plains of India one can witness from the left side of the aircrafts window a series of the world’s highest peaks. Your pilot will announce the names of the peaks if the weather is clear. You will descend into the high mountains and as the plane lowers you will not find any airstrip or any city but instead you will enjoy the view of the approaching valley of Paro, the alpine forests, little monasteries, temples and farm houses. Before the plane touches the runaway you will get a glimpse of the fertile valley of Paro, the Paro Dzong and Paro chu(river). Our representative will be at the airport to assist you, meet and greet and transfer to the capital city Thimphu and rest of the day at leisure. O/n at Thimphu

Day 2

When in Thimphu you got to prepare for surprises where this unique capital has no traffic lights but adopted its own version of the British – Indian colonial times traffic policemen who can startle you and memorize others with his elaborate hand gestures, sometimes he may be signaling stop when it looks like go but don’t worry you can observe the flow and notice his smile as you stare at him. Sightseeing includes visit to the National Memorial Chorten a stupa dedicated to the third king of Bhutan and Buddha statue, Takin Zoo where you will find national animal of Bhutan and drive down hill stop at the junction to take a glimpse of Trashichho Dzong. Proceed towards National Library and Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon take a short walk to Handicraft Bazaar to view the traditional arts and Centenary Park take a walk to the main city from Clock tower square for shopping. Overnight at Thimphu.

Day 3

Morning drive to low lands of Punakha valley touching Dochula pass 10,000 ft and on the stop at Hongtsho village. Proceed down towards Punakha through Thinleygang village and upon reaching Lobesa turn left and drive down further. Stop and take a short walk through the villages to Chimmi Lhakhang - The divine madman also known, as Drukpa Kinley is a famous teacher with whom the phallic symbol is associated. Tales told by your guide would have excited you to visit Chimmi Lhakhang. Do not miss the master’s deeds painted on the walls. Japanese and several American couples visited this temple and were blessed miraculously with children. Afternoon visit majestic Punakha Dzong placed strategically at the junction of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers, the dzong was built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to serve as the religious and administrative seat of the region. It was here that the dual system of government was introduced in the 17th century and in 1907, enthroned the first King Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuk. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Punakha.

Day 4

Morning drive to Thimphu via same road and stop at Lamperi. Visit the Royal Botanical Park for 30 minutes. If you are lucky you could see red pandas, different species of birds, you can take some photo shot close to the natural lake. You could watch a short documentary about the park. Proceed to Paro via Semtokha and check in the hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight at Paro.

Day 5

Morning visit Paro Dzong, the National Museum housed in a round fortress called as the Ta Dzong considered to be one of the best natural history museums in Asia where it has a fine collection of natural and historic artifacts. Kyichu Lhakhang the monastery dates back to 7th century and is one of the oldest and most sacred. Afternoon visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, a 17th century fortress that used to keep invaders from Tibet and in 1951 the fort was destroyed by fire. Your last stop for the day will be at the base of the Tigers Nest. Evening visit the town for leisure or shopping. Overnight at Paro.

Mo Chu river originating in the mountainous hills of Northern Bhutan and Pho Chu river fed by Glaciers in upper Punakha glacial valley offer tremendous rafting opportunity. The Pho Chu river, with its approx 16 km course with about 15 rapids of class 2-4 and Mo Chu river with 10 Km course with 10 rapids of class 2 - 2+ are chosen for our white water rafting packages in Bhutan. Day 3

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Punakha across Dochula pass at 3, 080 m. Dochula pass offers the most spectacular view over the high peaks of the eastern Himalayas on a clear day. Continue to drive along the scenic highway passing through an orchard, alpine forests and small villages to Punakha. Enroute take a short excursion to Chimi Lakhang situated on a hillock in the center of the valley, is dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kuenley, who in the late 15th century used humor, songs and outrageous behavior to dramatize his teachings and due to this also known as ‘Divine Madman’. This temple is also known as the temple of fertility. It is widely believed that couples who do not have children and wanting one, if they pray at this temple, they are usually blessed with a child very soon. It is about 30-minute walk across the field from the road to the temple. The trail leads across rice fields to the tiny settlement of Pana, meaning ‘field’. It then follows a tiny stream downhill to Yoaka and across more fields before making a short climb to Chimi Lhakhang. Punakha (alt. 1300m/4265ft) - Punakha served as the capital of Bhutan before Thimphu and is still the winter seat of Je Khenpo (the chief abbot). Blessed with a temperate climate and owing to its natural drainage from Pho Chhu (male) and Mo Chhu (female) rivers, the Punakha valley produces abundant crops and fruits. Day 4

After breakfast drive back to Paro descending back down from Dochu La, follow the way back up the dramatic Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu river valleys, before crossing through Paro Town towards the north end of the valley. En route visit Simtokha Dzong, the place of profound tantric teaching, this dzong now houses a school for the study of the Dzongkha language. Later in the day after checking into the hotel, proceed to visit Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which now houses National Museum. The extensive collection includes antique thangka paintings, textiles, weapons & armor, household objects and a rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, meaning (“fortress of the heap of jewels”), which has a long and fascinating history. Along with the wooden galleries lining the inner courtyard are fine wall paintings illustrating Buddhist lore such as four friends, the old man of long life, the wheel of life, scenes from the life of Milarepa, Mount. Day 5

The morning after breakfast, drive to Satsam Chorten. On arrival at the trail-head point, embark on a walking excursion to Taktshang Monastery: It is one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called ‘Tiger’s Nest’. This site has been recognized as a most sacred place and visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646 and now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime. On 19 April 1998, a fire severely damaged the main structure of building but now this Bhutanese jewel has been restored to its original splendor. Conclude the tour of the day with a visit of Trashichhoedzong; “fortress of the glorious religion”.This is the center of government and religion, site of monarch’s throne room and seat of Je Khenpo or Chief Abbot. Day 3

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Punakha across Dochula pass at 3, 080 m. Continue to drive along scenic highway passing through the orchard, alpine forests and small villages to Punakha. Enroute take a short excursion to Chimi Lakhang situated on a hillock in the center of the valley, is dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kuenley, who in the late 15th century used humor, songs and outrageous behavior to dramatize his teachings and due to this also known as ‘Divine Madman’. This temple is also known as the temple of fertility. It is widely believed that couples who do not have children and wanting one, if they pray at this temple, they are usually blessed with a child very soon. It is about 30-minute walk across the field from the road to the temple. The trail leads across rice fields to the tiny settlement of Pana, meaning ‘field’. It then follows a tiny stream downhill to Yoaka and across more fields before making a short climb to Chimi Lhakhang. Punakha (alt. 1300m/4265ft) - Punakha served as the capital of Bhutan before Thimphu and is still the winter seat of Je Khenpo (the chief abbot). Blessed with temperate climate and owing to its natural drainage from Pho Chhu (male) and Mo Chhu (female) rivers, the Punakha valley produces abundant crops and fruits. Day 4

After breakfast, proceed for a day trip to the beautiful Phobjika Valley and Goempa Monastery. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 5

After breakfast drive back to Paro descending back down from Dochu La, follow the way back up the dramatic Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu river valleys, before crossing through Paro Town towards the north end of the valley. En route visit Simtokha Dzong, the place of profound tantric teaching, this dzong now houses a school for the study of the Dzongkha language. Later in the day after checking into the hotel, proceed to visit Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which now houses National Museum. The extensive collection includes antique thangka paintings, textiles, weapons & armor, household objects and a rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, meaning (“fortress of the heap of jewels”), which has a long and fascinating history. Along the wooden galleries lining the inner courtyard are fine wall paintings illustrating Buddhist lore such as four friends, the old man of long life, the wheel of life, scenes from the life of Milarepa, Mount. Sumeru and other cosmic Mandala. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Day 6 & 7

The morning after breakfast, drive to Satsam Chorten. On arrival at the trail-head point, embark on a walking excursion to Taktshang Monastery: It is one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called ‘Tiger’s Nest’. This site has been recognized as a most sacred place and visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646 and now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime. On 19 April 1998, a fire severely damaged the main structure of building but now this Bhutanese jewel has been restored to its original splendor. After the excursion of Tiger, Nest return Enjoy an amazing hot stone bath to rejuvenate yourself. Later return back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Overnight at the hotel in Paro. Last Day After early breakfast at the hotel, drive to the airport for flight to your onward destination. Our representative will help you with exit formalities and then bid you farewell.

Day 1 & 2

‘I fly Tour’ guests will meet at Chhatrapati Shivaji Domestic airport Mumbai / Pune Domestic Airport Pune as per the schedule flight departure time and proceed to Bagdogra. On arrival we drive to Phuntsholing. We have a short Meet n’ Greet session before dinner. Next day Today we proceed to Thimphu. On arrival, we visit King's Memorial Chorten (Monument).

Day 3

Today we explore the city of Thimphu, we visit Motithang mini zoo - is a wildlife reserve area for the Takin, the national animal of Bhutan, Buddha Dordenma Statue, (subject to operations) Chang Gangkha, Tashichho Dzong, National Library, Handicraft Centre.

Day 4

Today we proceed to low lands of Punakha valley, Punakha Dzong En-route, we visit Dochula pass .

Day 5

Today we proceed to Paro. We visit to Drukgyel Dzong also known as Victory Fortress, Paro Dzong, Ta-Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang one of the oldest and most sacred shrines in Bhutan

Day 6

Today we proceed to Chele-la-Pass (subject to operation). Chele-la-Pass is the highest motorable pass in Bhutan. Chele-la is a mountain pass located in the western region of the Paro valley. It is located between the two most picturesque locations in Bhutan - Haa Valley and Paro Valley. Later we enjoy the Bhutanese cultural program. We enjoy the shopping at local market. Today, more fun comes your way... Enjoy Dinner & Dance Party in the evening!

Day 7 & 8

Today we proceed to Phuntsholing. Morning we visit Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), a treak of total 12 km. Enroute we visit Kharbandi Gompa. Last Day Today we proceed to Bagdogra. Its time now to say goodbye to our tour companions. Let us be in contact with each other through email, Facebook…. And meet again on one more memorable tour. See you all!!
