Following breakfast this morning you are taken on a panoramic city tour. Day 3

This morning we take you to the fabulous Barossa Valley. Follow the Torrens River through the spectacular Torrens Gorge. Skirt Kangaroo Creek Reservoir and Millbrooke Reservoir, also Williamstown with its beautiful stone buildings, Lyndoch Bakery with the aroma of fresh coffee and pastries. Enjoy a complimentary coffee or tea and a German sampler plate of sweet treats. Visit the home of one of the world's best known wine brands, Jacob's Creek Visitor Centre. Take an exclusive sensory wine experience and a chance to tour and taste wines from their extensive selection. Take in panoramic views over the Barossa Valley from Menglers Hill lookout. Day 4

After your breakfast enjoy the River Murray Highlights tour which departs Adelaide and travels to the mighty River Murray which transforms this thirsty land into a land rich in green vineyards, golden citrus orchards and prosperous rural communities. Pass through Verdun, the undulating green Adelaide Hills and the mill town of Bridgewater before we reach Mannum, the birthplace of the River Murray Paddle steamers. Board a riverboat and enjoy a morning tea of cake with tea or coffee and lunch as we cruise this magnificent river. Admire the stark cliffs and River Red Gums that surround the river and keep an eye out for the diversity of bird life in the area including Galahs, Cockatoos and Pelicans. Enjoy a scenic drive along the river from Mannum to Young husband and Walker Flat. Then follow the Torrens River, a region famous for its olive groves and grape growing before heading back.

Day 5

Depart Adelaide and enjoy a scenic trip through Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape jervis where you will board the Sealink ferry for the 45 minute journey across Backstairs Passage to Kangaroo Island. On arrival in Penneshaw, meet your local driver/guide. First stop is Rob's Shearing before heading to Pennington bay. Continue to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, the only commercial eucalyptus distillery in South Australia and visit stunning Seal Bay where you will have the opportunity to get up close to a wild breeding colony of rare Australian sea-lions. At Little Sahara explore the hugh white sand dunes and test your skills at sand boarding. At Vivonne Bay Lodge, you will have the opportunity to spend some free time kayaking on the Harriet River, swimming at Vivonne Bay beach, take a self-guided walk through the property tracks, go trail bike riding or simply relax. Back at camp there are complimentary activities to keep you occupied before and after your BBQ meal. As darkness sets see kangaroo, tamar wallabies and possums before heading to Point Ellen to witness the arrival of the little penguins. On return to camp relax around the fire (except in summer months) or kick back on the deck with a glass of local wine before retiring to the comfort of your bed. Day 6

After breakfast get up close to more wildlife at Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary where you will look for koalas nestled up in the eucalypts and see kangaroos grazing on the open fields. Continue on to Flinders Chase National Park where you will marvel at Remarkable Rocks, hugh granite boulders sculptured by nature. Enjoy the spectacular coast and seascapes as you head around to Admirals Arch at Cape Du Couedic where we watch the resident New Zealand fur seals frolic in the ocean or sunbake on the rocks. Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch at the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre. Head to the beautiful and secluded 'secret' beach of Stokes bay and take a walk at Ironstone Hill (time permitting) to find wallabies and admire the spectacular view back to the mainland. Day 2

Rise early for your transfer to the Alice Springs Desert Park and watch the desert come alive. Witness free-flying birds of prey at the nature theatre and see rare and endangered animals such as the Bilby. Time at the Alice Springs Desert Park is unguided; you will explore the park at your leisure. After lunch proceed to ‘A Town like Alice’ tour. Tour the sights of 'The Alice' including The School of the Air. Stop at the historic Telegraph Station, which marks the original site of the first European settlement in Alice Springs. Visit the Royal Flying Doctors Service, where you will see how medical aid reaches those who live in the remote 'outback' communities. Stop at the Alice Springs Reptile Centre, where you can see up close reptiles of the Central Australia's semi-arid desert, such as the Perentie Goanna, Thorny Devil, Frill-Necked Lizards. The tour concludes with a panoramic view of the township of Alice Springs and the East and West MacDonnell Ranges from the top of Anzac Hill.

Day 3

Check-out of your accommodation in the morning and travel from Alice Springs to Ayers Rock (Uluru). Take in the rugged desert landscapes of the region, passing through the beautiful MacDonnell Ranges. Stop at the Camel Farm and learn about the impact camels had in opening up Central Australia. Camels, ideally suited to the hot, dry climate of Australia’s interior, were imported in the 19th century and remained the principal means of outback transport until railways and roads were established. You have the opportunity to ride a camel (own expense). Learn the natural and geological history of the region, as well as the unique Australian desert flora and fauna such as the Perentie monitor lizard, the thorny devil and the red kangaroo. Hear about the traditional customs and beliefs of the local Aboriginals. There is time for a stop at Mt Ebenezer road house for a quick break. View flat-topped Atila (Mt Conner) in the distance before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort rested, relaxed and ready to explore the amazing World Heritage-listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Early evening join the Uluru Sunset Tour to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Enjoy nibbles and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine as the sun sinks over the western horizon and the evening sky brings out the many shades of colour for which Uluru is famous. Don’t forget your camera! It is recommended that you photograph Uluru every 1 minute to really capture the gradual colour changes of the rock.

Day 4

Early morning you can opt to join the half day Uluru Sunrise Tour. Travel to the sunrise viewing area, Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, near Ayers Rock (Uluru) and watch the first sunlight of the day creep across the desert plains. Watching sunrise at Ayers Rock (Uluru) is the perfect start to the day. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits as the morning sun slowly changes the colour of Ayers Rock (Uluru). After watching the sunrise travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta enjoying panoramic views of the southern side of Kata Tjuta before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. Spend time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formations. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta. Later experience Field of Light from the dune top viewing area and enjoy a buffet dinner at site.
